Ingredients (serves 4)
- 400 g of buffalo mozzarella
- 12 thick slices of tomato
- 8 spoonfuls of Pantaleo extra-virgin olive oil
- 12 fresh basil leaves
- A handful of black or green olives
- Toasted bread slices as an accompaniment
- Fresh oregano (or dried if no fresh available)
- Salt to taste
Preparation
On each of the 4 plates, lay out
3 slices of tomato, each with a slice of mozzarella and 3 basil leaves on top.
Sprinkle the oregano and salt on top and garnish the plate with the olives.
Just before serving, drizzle oil on top and serve with the toasted bread kept warm in a napkin.
